GIRLS

  • Hip Hop – Fitted T-shirt or tank | Jogging pants, shorts, or leggings (no jeans) | Clean indoor running shoes. Competitive dancers performing in a hip hop number will likely be asked to purchase a specific running shoe style and colour closer to the competition season at the instructor’s discretion. When buying new hip hop runners, please buy plain white.
  • Jazz – Adjustable cotton cami leotard in black | Choice of bare legs or convertible tights in light tan | Black cotton dance shorts (Seniors may opt for black leggings) | Leather & neoprene jazz shoes in black
  • Lyrical – Adjustable cotton cami leotard in black | Convertible or footless tights in light tan (may wear black dance shorts over tights) | Bare feet or “dance paws” if turning in bare feet hurts. Dancers may wait until after the season begins to invest in dance paws.

It is recommended that each dancer have at least 2-3 sets of dancewear, given how many hours most of the competitive dancers will be training each week.
